United States President, Joe Biden has named Karine Jean-Pierre as the new White House Press Secretary.
Karine Jean-Pierre, who is a black gay woman will be the replacement for the outgoing Psaki, who has been in office since January 2021.

The 44-year-old Karine Jean-Pierre is a French-American political campaign organizer, activist, political commentator, and author of Haitian heritage. She has been White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary since 2021.
With the midterms coming up later this year, she has an uphill task on her hands to help her principal remain in office, especially amidst the Biden administration’s struggles to address Americans’ concerns about soaring inflation and the state of the economy.
This is in addition to foreign policy challenges, including the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and North Korea’s escalating nuclear testing program.
