At least three people died in an auto crash in Ogun State on Sunday. Ten more people were also injured in the car accident that took place on Onipepeye area on the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
Mr. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday.
Umar attributed the accident to overspeeding, adding that the driver lost control when he sumersualted upon reaching a bend in the road.
The accident which occurred in a Mazda with plate number APP 297 YC, was carrying 15 people.
Umar said four men, nine women, a boy and a girl were in the vehicle. While 2 men and a woman lost their lives.
The injured were rushed to the State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta, for treatment, while the remains of the deceased were deposited in the mortuary of the same hospital, said Umar.
