Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate urged his followers not to give up and promised that the fight to reclaim “our stolen” mandate was imminent.
Yesterday in Abuja, Atiku spoke via Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP Presidential Campaign Committee’s director of public affairs.
In a short message to supporters, he said: “A clarion call on all Atiku’s supporters all over the world not to be perturbed. Weeping may tarry till night but joy cometh in the morning. This grave injustice shall not stand.
“The battle to retrieve our stolen mandate is a battle of no retreat, no surrender. We shall overcome.”
He made this comment in light of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaration of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, as the victor of last Saturday’s presidential election.
