Emotions ran wild when Manchester United hosted Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday in what was their first game of the new campaign.
It was also the first game of Erik ten Hag’s new era and fans were upbeat about their chances this term, especially with a near-perfect pre-season outing to boot.
However, two first half gals from Pascal Groß soon turned the optimistic atmosphere at Old Trafford into pessimism.
Even though Diogo Dalot was able to pull one back after forcing an own goal through Alexis Mac Allister, it was not enough to get back into the game as the Seagulls got their first ever win at Old Trafford.

But as United lost on the pitch, their fans also lost it in the stands. In one section of the stands, two men, white and black could be seen in a video clip holding each other rather aggressively.
The white man held the black man’s neck as he blared out insults.
