Manchester United travelled to Spain on Wednesday night hoping to build on their league win over Leeds and beat Atletico Madrid.
However, United found themselves behind in the 7th minute, after Felix fired in a superb opener for Diego Simeone’s men.
With Griezmann and Suarez on the bench, United were able to contain the home side and keep them from building on their early lead.
However, the game was turned on its head late on, after substitute, Elanga drew United level with just 10 minutes left to go.
United go back to England with hopes of winning the tie in the second leg.
