A much changed Liverpool side came out guns blazing on Tuesday night against Scottish side, Rangers in the UEFA Champions League group game.
Jurgen Klopp tweaked the formation, going from his favored 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 and it worked quite well for the Anfield side who drew 3:3 against Brighton during the weekend.
Trent Alexander-Arnold got them going with a wonderful freekick into the corner of the net on the 7th minute mark.
Rangers’ goalkeeper, McGregor was at the top of his game and was able to keep Nunez from getting a 1st half hatrick.
Liverpool doubled their lead in the second half when King fouled Diaz in the box. Salah stepped up to bury the resultant penalty.
Rangers on the otherhand, were unable to threaten Liverpool until the 85th minute when they were able to register their 1st shot on goal- one which Alisson would save to ensure the game ended 2:0.
