Last year’s finalists, Real Madrid and Liverpool will square off in this year’s round of 16.
This was revealed in the round of 16 draw held on Monday afternoon.
Liverpool lost the final to the Spanish giants who went on to clinch their 14th Champions League title, with a Vinicius Junior’s goal proving to be enough.
The first leg of the tie will be played at Anfield after the New Year.

RB Leipzig will play host to last season’s semi finalists, Manchester City.
While Club Brugge will take on Benfica. AC Milan will take on Tottenham Hotspur at the San Siro. Eintrach Frankfurt will play Napoli.
Chelsea will first travel to Germany to play Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan will clash with FC Porto.
Finally, Paris Saint Germain will take on Bayern Munich.
