Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in the toughest first round group of the 2023 U20 AFCON along with hosts Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique, Reelradio.com.ng can confirm.
The Tournament will run from February 19 to March 11, 2023 in Egypt across three cities: Cairo, Ismailia, and Alexandria.
Current defending Champion of U-20 WAFU, Flying Eagles matches will all be played in Cairo.
Group B in Ismailia has Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo, while Group C to be based in Alexandria is headed by Gambia along with Tunisia, Benin and Zambia.
The top two teams in the three first round groups will qualify for the quarterfinals, while two third best losers will also advance.
The four semifinalists will qualify for the 2023 U20 World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia in May.
