On Wednesday Monday, two men met their end at the hands of an angry mob in Lagos, after they were burnt to death.
The incident, it was gathered, occurred in the morning of Wednesday after the victims were caught with 18 mobile phones at Cele, Lagos.
According to a NAN reporter who said he saw the charred corpses said, “The two guys, before their death, were interrogated and confessed that they were from the Ajegunle area.
“The victims were mobbed following accumulated anger of frequent thefts around the shops in the area last few weeks,” a source said.
Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the report, said that the command condemned the act of jungle justice in Lagos.
“We are on the trail of those involved. The people in the community must tell us what they know concerning the incident,” Mr Hundeyin said.
