Nigerians have continued to impress at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Chioma Onyekwere clinched gold on Tuesday in the Women’s discus, as she threw a season’s best of 61.70m.
Another Nigerian woman, Obiageri Ameachi came third in the same event managing a 56.99m throw.
That put her a little behind English woman, Jade Lilly who emerged second with her 58.42m throw.
Their exploits yesterday tool Nigeria’s total medals at the athletic showpiece to eight.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that the competition will continue today, Wednesday, 3rd August.
