Operatives of Lagos State Police Command stepped in to save a two man gang from being lynched by an angry mob in Yaba.
According to a tweet by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the men nearly lost their lives after they stole generator cables.
He advised members of the public against jungle justice.
“These two were caught in the act of stealing generator cables somewhere in Yaba and were beaten black and blue by an angry mob. The police rescued them from lynching. Investigation has commenced. Don’t take laws into your hands. Stop jungle justice,” said SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
