It was tears of joy for Tobi Amusan on Sunday when she came out top of the 100m Hurdles race.
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won a Gold medal in the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the World Athletics Championships holding in Oregon, after breaking the world record with a time of 12.06 seconds.
Jamaica’s Britany Anderson came second, while Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico came in third.
Amusan could not hold back her tears when she got her gold medal around her neck and the Nigerian National anthem blasted through the speakers.
As the new record holder, she was given a cheque of $100, 000. Watch the race below.
