Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress has posted a picture in a tweet to quell allegations that he is away from Nigeria for health reasons.
The presidential standard bearer of the APC has went missing since before September 28, the day campaigns started.
Since then, his camp has been deflecting questions about his health from one TV interview to another, while his social media handles like his official Twitter account, have been posting pictures and videos of the former Lagos State Governor as prove of life.
On Wednesday during an interview on Channels TV, Festus Keyamo who is the Party’s spokesman, said he is not privy to whether Tinubu is sick or not, but that he is confident he will be back in a short time.
Another, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, the Party’s women leader let loose her emotions on Arise TV while trying to defend or deny that Tinubu is not sick.
On Thursday, after his team showed Nigerians a 7 second clip of him exercising on a bike, which was later confirmed to be from 2013, another picture of himself reading a Nation Newspaper, a company he owns, surfaced on Twitter again.
This time, it was fact-checked to be a picture that was taken as far back as January 23rd, 2022.
