Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, claimed on Wednesday in Enugu that Nigerians didn’t need to look for better opportunities overseas because the country is so blessed.
Announcing that there is no other country in Africa like Nigeria, Tinubu added that he should have support as he works to renew and rebuild the nation. Tinubu made the statement while speaking at a campaign rally.
He stated that some Nigerians who left the country in search of better opportunities abroad encountered difficulties.
Speaking at the rally at Enugu, the former Lagos State Governor said: Those who are running overseas are suffering. We have been there. Anybody who tells you that you cannot do something, pray you can do it.”
He furthered: “You cannot block the way of success. It is only the ignorant that will stand on the way of victory.
“We are not looking for 25 per cent votes. We are working assiduously until Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes the president of Nigeria.
“It is only when you invest that you can harvest. It is only when you vote for me that you will share from the national cake,’’ he declared.
He emphasised that he would turn the geopolitical region into a manufacturing centre if the Igbos cooperated with his expected government.
