A few days before the inauguration of President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu into office on May 29, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, informed Nigerians that the President-elect is looking rejuvenated and ready to hit the ground running.
On Thursday, Adamu assured the team of a pro-Nigeria organization operating under the auspices of The Natives when they visited the APC headquarters in Abuja.
Adamu had on Wednesday, along with some members of the National Working Committee of the party, visited Tinubu, who returned from foreign vacation on Monday, at the Defence House.
He said, “Anytime I meet any of our support groups, I can’t feel complete in my address without congratulating us, you for victory in the last election. Today, through your concerted efforts, in collaborating with us, and voting us, we have a brand new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“He took time off because of the rigors of the campaigns. We thank God that he is back. I was with him along with some members of the NWC. He is hale and hearty. He is ready to work. He is rejuvenated and ready to work.
“We want your continued support for us and the incoming government. The APC wants your support to ensure that our transition is smooth and peaceful. We want President Muhammadu to hand over safely by the end of May, 29. Buhari has led us to this victory. And one way we can pay him is to ensure that he has a very peaceful exit,” he concluded.
