Former presidential aide to ex President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has continued his attack on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In a series of posts on his official facebook page on Tuesday evening, Omokri questioned the integrity and character of Tinubu as regards crime.
In one of the posts, the former presidential aide accused the APC presidential candidate of being a known drug lord.
According to him, Tinubu was involved in a heroin drug cartel in the US and forfeited millions in drug funds to US authorities.
He added that a forfeiture is simply an admission of guilt.
He wrote, “The bigger issue with Tinubu is not his certificates, or lack of them. It is the fact that he is a KNOWN DRUG LORD who was involved in a heroin drug cartel in the US, and forfeited millions in drug funds to US authorities. As any lawyer will tell you, a forfeiture is an admission of guilt!.”
To back his claim, Omokri said he is in possession of court documents, names of those involved and their past and current addresses in that regard.
“We have the court documents. We have the names of those involved and their past and current addresses.”
He challenged the former Lagos State governor to sue him if the facts are inaccurate, saying Tinubu is unfit to occupy the office of Nigeria’s president.
“I again challenge Bola Tinubu to sue me if these facts are not accurate. He is not a fit and proper person to occupy the office of the President of Nigeria.”
In a similar post, Omokri called on Tinubu to prove he is not a known drug lord by explaining how Olafunke Philips, an arrested supposed cocaine trafficker, became an appointee of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu.
He wrote, “Dear Bola Tinubu,
If you are not a KNOWN DRUG LORD, then please explain how Olafunke Philips, an arrested cocaine trafficker, who jumped bail, ended up as a political appointee in Lagos under Jide Sanwoolu? Who instructed Sanwoolu to appoint her?”
SWITCH NIGERIA had days ago reported how Omokri called out the APC presidential candidate after he told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that he has no primary and secondary schools certificates.
Also, the APC national leader told the electoral umpire that although he had two degrees from two American universities, he could not provide any documentation for it.
He stated that they had been stolen by unknown soldiers during the military junta of the 1990s when he fled the country over his support for the revalidation of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, which was won by late Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, annulled by the regime of former Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
