The vice presidential candidate of the APC, Kashim Shettima was seen in a video while still the Governor of Borno State, saying “to hell with restructuring.”
Shettima who has in the past being said to have been one of the sponsors of the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, was making a comparison between Nigeria’s developmental strides and that of the USA, especially as exemplified by Elon Musk.
In the address he delivered in November, 2017, Shettima said Nigeria should focus on alleviating poverty, instead of talking about restructuring. He however failed to point out how the poverty can be alleviated.

Mr. Shettima spoke at the book launch of a former Minister of Youths and Sports Development under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Bolaji Abdullahi, who is now the spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The event took place at the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District of Abuja.
