Things happen in history of which if it was not recorded and retold, we would never know.
In 1870, the James Robinson Circus band in the United States were playing on a stage mounted atop a cage of lions as they paraded through a town in Kansas.
While making a turn, the carriage carrying the cage hit a rock which caused the roof to collapse, sending the entire band crashing into the cage of lions.
In front of a shocked audience, seven of the 10 musicians, with shrieks of agony, were torn apart by the frightful lions in a heartrending and sickening sight.
