Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva has said he is ‘so happy’ after extending his Blues contract until the summer of 2024.
Silva, who turns 39 in September, has made 106 appearances for Chelsea since he arrived at the club in 2020 from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian defender who joined Chelsea three years ago, put to pen a new deal until June 2024 on a year contract.
The Brazilian centre-back, who has 113 caps, has appeared in 19 of Chelsea’s 21 Premier League games so far this season.
“I am honestly so happy to continue my career with the Blues,” Silva told Chelsea’s official website after extending his dal.
“When I signed my first contract here, it was to just do one year. Now it is already the fourth!
“I could not have imagined that, but really it is a very special moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea.”
