A former Senator from Kaduna State, Shehu Sani has said the South will only get the presidential position if both APC and PDP pick their flagbearers from the South.
The Playwright and human rights activist made this known in a tweet posted on his official Twitter handle.
“Power will shift to the South only if the candidates of the two main political parties are picked from the South,” said Sani.

Both the ruling party, All Progressives Congress and the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party are yet to conduct their primary elections.
However, Abubakar Atiku who is from Adamawa, Nigeria’s North East, is hoping to get the nod as PDP’s presidential candidate, over the likes of Peter Obi of the South East, who many believe will make a better candidate and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki of the North Central.
Meanwhile, Bola Tinubu, one of the founding fathers of the APC hopes the party he helped form will repay his sacrifices and give him the ticket, ahead of the likes of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
It remains to be seen who will get what.
