Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla Inc., has announced that their long-awaited pick up truck will double as a boat.
Musk said this in a tweet on Friday.
He said, “Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to serve briefly as a boat, so it can cross rivers, lakes & even seas that aren’t too choppy. Needs be able to get from Starbase to South Padre Island, which requires crossing the channel.”

The Tesla Cybertruck is an upcoming battery electric light-duty truck announced by Tesla, Inc. in 2019.
According to Popular Mechanics, Tesla recently announced that its Cybertruck will finally happen—and is set to go on sale in 2023. The most expensive variant (fitted with three electric motors) can tow up to 14,000 pounds.
However, his tweet sparked reactions from fans of the hotly anticipated truck, with others expressing concerns over the durability and safety of a truck that could not withstand a close range shot to its windows when it was first unveiled in 2019.
