Abba Kyari, the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police has emphasised his importance to the service security of the nation.
The man who was once tagged “super cop,” said that the Kaduna Airport and Abuja-Kaduna train terrorist attacks won’t have happened if he was still in the blue and black of the Nigerian Police.
Speaking through his lawyer, Nureini Jimoh, Kyari who has been locked up at the Kuje Correctional Facility in Abuja, said he deserved bail-bail the Federal High Court has refused to grant him.
“Upon the incarceration of the applicants, criminality in the nation has risen up. The Kaduna train attack, Kaduna-Abuja road attack as well as Kaduna airport attack was a result of the incarceration of the applicants,” partly reads the document submitted to the court.
Kyari believes his arrest coincides with the rise of crime in the country.
Mr Kyari said: “The entire plan to incarcerate the applicants led to the criminal upsurge and other high level insecurity in the country. Since the incarceration of the applicants, the police have not recorded any level of success on the senseless attack(s) across the country.”
The statement said nothing of the many crimes he committed that put him there in the first place.
