Popular Nigerian musician, Joseph Akinwale, known professionally as Joeboy, has deployed a means to help curb the effect of subsidy removal of fuel on Lagosians for the next 3 days.
The 26-years-old star launched a free ride tagged “Body & Soul” between 8am and 5pm at designated spots for the next 72 hours.
He made the gesture known via Twitter, saying: “I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping. For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm.
“Enjoy the ride, Love you guys❤️
This is coming a few hours after he had bemoaned the effect of the hike in fuel prices on the citizens, and how he wished he could help.
“It’s crazy that people are spending their entire salary just to buy fuel.
I wish there was a way to help a bit,” Joeboy thought aloud.
