Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has spoken on the alleged dispute between PSG teammates, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.
In a recent Ligue 1 game between PSG and Montpellier, it was alleged that 22-year-old Mbappe hit Messi with his shoulder, while trying to tell Neymar to allow him take a penalty kick.
The French star had missed an earlier penalty, while Neymar scored his after shrugging off Mbappe’s requests.
In addition, during the same game, Mbappe stopped running in a team’s counter attack after teammate, Vitinha chose to pass the ball to Messi on the other flank instead of the former Monaco man.
Rooney, 36, when asked about his reaction to Kylian Mbappé shouldering Lionel Messi, said “A 22-23 year old player throwing a shoulder at Messi… I have never seen a bigger ego than this in my life. Someone remind Mbappé that at 22 years old, Messi had four Ballon d’Ors.”
Wayne Rooney is the current manager of MLS side, D. C United.
