Shakira and Gérard Pique end 12 year Relationship

Barcelona defender, Gérard Pique and Colombian singer, Shakira have announced that they are going their separate ways.The two met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, after Pique featured in the hit song, “waka waka” which was the tournament’s theme song.Shakira is exactly 10 years older than Pique as they share the same birthday and together they have tow boys, Milan born in 2013 and Sasha born in 2015.During the time of their relationship, they have two kids.The separation is coming after rumours of an illicit relationship 35-year-old Pique has been having with one of his staff came to the fore.“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” the statement reads.“For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy.
