Edin Dzeko’s goal was enough as Inter Milan put an end to Napoli’s Unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 win against the league leaders at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
The game which was the first game post World Cup, saw Napoli suffering their first defeat in all competitions this season to rivals and second place Inter Milan.
The first half, which was heavily dominated by the away side, ended with 65% possession placing inter Milan back to their goal in to halftime.
Inter Milan came back into the second half strong, knowing that a win would cut the deficit to Napoli who were eight points clear at the beginning of the encounter.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Striker, Edin Dzeko, seventh goal of the season 10 minutes into the half, as he met with Federico Dimarco’s lofted pass to put his side up with a clever header into the goal.
Then then dig deep to record a hard earned victory over Napoli and close the gap to five points.
The defeat for the Azzurri was their first defeat in 20 Serie A games stretching back to last season and their first in all competitions this season.
