Former Senator Shehu Sani from Kaduna state has accused the Buhari/APC led government of leaving Nigeria worse than they met it.
The firebrand former lawmaker unleashed a Twitter storm on his official handle today, accusing Buhari and the APC government he leads of litany of issues they are culpable of.
“Legacies to be left behind; nepotism, a more divided country, increased separatists agitation, emboldened terrorists groups,a record foreign & domestic debt burden, 133mil poor, failed economic diversification, devalued currency, cost of governance, unfulfilled promises of restructuring”, he twitted.
Nigerians from all works of life are sharply polarized along ethno-religious and political lines when it comes to deciding the legacies Buhari would bequeath to Nigerians when he administration comes to an end next year.
In the 8 years of the Buhari administration, the tangible gains made against marauding terrorists groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP in the north east is said to be overshadowed by the incessant killings all over the country, attributed to herdsmen, bandits, IPOB, kidnappers, unknown gunmen etc.
Nigeria’s debt profile, both locally and internationally has exponentially grown to am alarming proportion too.
Critics also accuse the administration of crass nepotism due to it’s pattern of lopsided appointments in public offices.
Those who support the government points to the success recorded against Boko Haram and ISWAP in the north east.
