The Union of European Football Association(UEFA) drew out the roaster for the group stages of this season’s Champions League tournament.
Winners, Real Madrid were drawn in group F alongside RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic.
While last season’s finalist, Liverpool were drawn in group A where they will fight against Ajax, Napoli and Rangers to reach the knockout stages.
However, while Liverpool missed out on the group of death this season, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Interzionale will square off against each other together with minnows, Viktoria Plzen in group C.
Of the other English sides, Chelsea will take on RB Salzburg, AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb in group E.
While Manchester City will fight FC Copenhagen, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla in group G.
Tottenham returned to the Champions League last season after new coach, Antonio Conte managed to lead them to a 4th place finish.
This will be the London side’s first appearance in Europe’s topmost competition since they were beaten by Liverpool in the final in 2019. This time, they will need to battle against Eintracht Frankfurt, Marseille and Sporting CP to reach the round of 16.
