Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has hailed outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the power transition to President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sanwo-Olu also appreciated Buhari for coffering him a national honour, via a tweet on his official Twitter account a few minutes ago.
The Governor’s message reads: “It was indeed an honour, as I was conferred with the title of Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).
“A big thank you to the President, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, for deeming it fit to bestow upon me, this National honour.
“I wish you well as you formally hand over the mantle of leadership to the President-elect, today Monday, 29th.
“To the good people of Lagos, I dedicate this honour to you, for your support and acceptance. You all have given me the opportunity to serve you again. I promise to continue to serve diligently and conscientiously. Thank You.”
