Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has told Lagosians to expect the groundbreaking ceremony for the Fourth Mainland Bridge in the next couple of months.
The Governor also promised that before the completion of his second term in office, there’ll be an accelerated development in the state’s infrastructural projects.
This was issued in a statement by Sanwo-Olu released on Sunday, during the inauguration of the newly-upgraded Oba Sekumade Road in Ipakodo in the Ikorodu area of the state, on Friday.
He said: “What we are about is ensuring that the next four years come with bigger dividends delivered faster than we have done in our first tenure. There will be accelerated development across the city in the next dispensation. Ikorodu is part of the greater Lagos that is rising.
“In the next couple of months, we will be doing groundbreaking for the Fourth Mainland Bridge, which will cut across major sections of the Sagamu-Ikorodu Expressway before finally opening to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. We are committed to delivering this project in our second term to completely open Ikorodu to the world.”
