Enzo Fernandez wasn’t left out as Argentina completely dominated proceedings at the award ceremony at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 21-year-old Benfica Midfielder won the young player of the tournament after a stellar performance for Argentina in the heart of their Midfield in Qatar.
Enzo Fernandez who joined Benfica from Argentine club River Plate last summer made his world Cup debut in a 2-1 loss against Saudi Arabia scored a beautiful curler in the second game against Mexico as Argentina earned their first win in Qatar.
Fernandez got more popular after he played the through-ball that led to a crucial penalty in the semi-final win over Croatia.
