A former Nigerian Senator, Adamu Garba has said that the University Nigeria Nsukka should be renamed after the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Adamu who has a penchant for saying divisive statements, said this on his official twitter account on Friday.
Garba who is also an ex-presidential aspirant, said his proposition that the University of Nigeria be changed to Queen Elizabeth’s name is to immortalize her.
He suggested Queen Elizabeth University of Nigeria, Nsukka
Many of his followers took his post to mean he wants to stir the Igbos and draw their anger.
The late Queen is to be buried on September 19.
