Nigerian hip-pop rising star — Habeeb Okikiola, professionally known as Portable has said his ultimate goal is to be crowned a Grammy Award winner.
Portable made this assertion while fielding questions from popular content creator, Timi Agbaje, in his recent interview.
The 29-year-old stated that his goal is to be named “Best Artiste in Africa” at the famous annual music awards ceremony hosted by the Recording Academy.
He also claimed that for him to be content, he must receive the Grammy’s unawarded “Best Artist in Africa” honour.
In his words, Portable said: “That thing I’d want to do that’ll make me truly fulfilled is to win a Grammy. I want to win the category of ‘Best Artiste in Africa’. Best artiste o! Number 1!! That Ika of Africa, I want to use the title to collect that award.
“If I don’t collect an award, ah!!! International award o! Not all those local awards they sell up and down. You know the industry has caucus but destiny has no competition.”
“But if they said we should compete? What do they sing?” he asked
