The Rivers State Police Command have unearthed a child trafficking agency in Port Harcourt.
The police report stated that operatives of the C4i Intelligence Unit raided two facilities located at Omagwa and Igwuruta communities, located in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state were the baby factory victims were found.
The victims, some of which were as young as 15, said they were lured by promise of financial reward.
Some of the victims were visibly pregnant, while others nursed some infants.
When quizzed, they told the police that those that hired them promised to pay as high as N800, 000 for a male child and N700, 000 for a female child.
