Newly elected Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo has flagged off the Operation Cleanup Onitsha campaign.
The Governor arrived the commercial hub of the state around 11:30am on Saturday to flag off the 3-day exercise that seeks to rid the big city of its dirt.
Soludo and his team supervised areas around Obiano Park, Upper Iweka areas of Onitsha South, through Fegge, Ochanja market, and Ochanja roundabout.
Drainages, gutters, refuse dumps and markets are the areas of interest for the campaign, a source said.
They campaign is also expected to be extended to Onitsha North and South, Ogbaru and Idemili North local government areas.
