Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Thursday, presented the Staff of office to the new Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Agaba-idu, Dr. John Elaigwu Odogbo.
Ortom presented the staff of office to the Idoma nation paramount ruler at the Och’Idoma square in Otukpo, headquarters of the idoma nation, during his elaborate coronation as the Och’Idoma V.
SWITCH NIGERIA recalls that new Och’Idoma was elected on December 30 2021 in a keenly contested election.
The election of the new Idoma king followed the hunting expedition embarked upon by the former Och’Idoma, HRM, Agabaidu, Elias Ikoyi Obekpa.
