Senator David Mark, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the 2022 PDP National Convention for the nomination of the Presidential candidate of the party, on Tuesday led other members of the committee on an inspection tour of the National Stadium, venue of the convention.
The inspection is to ensure the party carries out a hitch free convention.
The convention is slated to hold on May 28th and 29th, 2022.
Other members of the committee on the inspection, include Governors Samuel Ortom, Godwin Obaseki, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Benue, Edo and Enugu States respectively.
Also on the inspection are Barr Ibrahim Shema and Emeka Ihedioha, former Governors of Katsina and Imo States, Prof Jerry Gana, Senator Olujinmi, Senator Philip Aduda as well as Mr Solomon Arase, former Inspector General of Police among many others.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Governors Nyesom Wike, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Bala Mohammed and Udom Emmanuel of Rivers, Sokoto, Bauchi and Akwa Ibom States respectively, former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, former Senate Presidents, Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim and publisher, Dele Momodu are some of the big names who would be hoping to clinch the party’s ticket at the convention.
