Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, erected a stand outside his home in Ifofin area in Ilesha, Osun State, where beans cake, locally known as akara is being shared.
This is taking place on the day of the Osun State Governorship polls, where the candidate he planted after his 8 years in office, Gboyega Oyetola of the APC is hoping to get reelected.
Rauf Aregbesola is expected to vote in the Osun State governorship election at his house there but has yet to show up as at the time of this report.
Vote buying is common in Nigeria, with the masses sometimes given commodities like garri, seasoning and salt, in order to sway people.
It works mainly because there is untold hardship in the country.
