Bola Ahmed Tinubu has refused to recognise the presidential bid of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Tinubu was meeting with APC governors on Monday, just hours after the VP’s declaration, when he said this.
In a short clip posted by the TV station, TVC, which is owned by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor, flanked by the APC Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu and sitting Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said “I have no son old enough to declare,” when he was asked by a reporter to comment on his political god-son joining the presidential race.
Things are hitting up in the ruling party as it nears its presidential primaries. As of today, 7 APC top guns, ranging from sitting Ebonyi state Governor Dave Umahi, to Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, have all joined the race.
Tinubu’s comments about the man he single-handedly made Vice President are a pointer a potential fallout between the two.
