One Miss Ajibola Ayomikun, a 200 level student of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages has reportedly lost her life after she fell into a septic tank at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Olarewaju Abiodun, she fell into soakaway located at BVER hostels, a hostel located off campus.
He stated that the University Management is saddened by the “unfortunate incidence”.
“When the news got to us, we immediately mobilised the emergency responders from the University, Osun State, and the OAU Teaching Hospital who through concerted efforts got the student out.
“She was immediately taken to the OAU Teaching Hospitals Complex where she was certified dead,” he said.
