Champions Rivers United defeated Dakkada FC 1-2 at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on Saturday to stretch their lead at the top of Group B to four points.
Dakkada FC struck first through Isaac George in the 16th minutes, Nwangwa Nyima then scored his first of the season to restore parity for the host 20 minutes later before Naibe Akpesiri completed the first half comeback for the champions on 45+3.
The pride of Rivers then held on in the second half to get their first away win of the season and further extend their lead at the top of group B to four points, 10 points from four games.
