Notorious bandit Kingpin, Aliero Declared wanted in 2019 gets Chieftaincy title in Zamfara Emirate

The Yandoton Daji Emirate of Zamfara State has just turbaned notorious bandit leader, Ado Aliero.

Aliero who was turbaned as the Sarkin Fulani, has been on the watch list of the Nigerian police since 2019, and was even declared wanted, with a bounty of N5m on him, at some point.

However, on Saturday he got a chieftaincy title, with a police man seen behind him.

This was disclosed by Abdul Balarabe, of Thunder Blowers Multi-Media Services in a tweet.

Ado Aleru is the leader of the bandit group that is terrorizing both the Katsina and Zamfara communities.

He was declared wanted by the Katsina Police Command in 2019 with a bounty of 5 million Naira on his head.

He said, “Finally, Notorious Bandits kingpin Ado Aliero turbaned as Sarkin Fulani (The King of Fulani) of Yandoton Daji Emirate in Zamfara State. It took place around 3:30pm today Saturday 16, July 2022.

“Pictures from the venue of the turbaning ceremony. Aleru is the leader of the bandit group that is terrorizing both the Katsina and Zamfara communities.”

“He was declared wanted by the Katsina Police Command in 2019 with a bounty of 5 million Naira on his head,” he added.

It is, however, not clear if the Emirate turbaned him in order to avert the incessant attacks on the community.
