Veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, best known by his stage name of Saint Obi, has passed away.
Known for movies like Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime and Last Party, Saint Obi had an acting career which began in 1996.
His death came as a shock to Nigerians on Saturday evening.
In 2001, Saint Obi, who died at 57, produced his first movie titled Take Me to Maama, where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel and Enebeli Elebuwa.
Reports confirm he died since May 7th, after a protracted undisclosed illness.
The family and the actors guild of Nigeria are yet to make a public announcement.
