Senator representing Enugu East, Mr. Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his senatorial bid to Labour Party’s Kevin Chukwu.
Chukwu replaced his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was gruesomely murdered a few days before the February 25, presidential and National Assembly elections.
As a result, INEC rescheduled the election for March 18, alongside the governorship and state assembly elections.
The LP candidate polled 69, 136 while Nnamani of the Peoples Democratic Party, scored 48, 701 votes.
However, despite losing to a political novice who is also a substitute for his late brother, Nnamani feels it is Peter Obi who must take the blame.
He said in a tweet, “Peter “Gringory” Obi has set the Igbo political trajectory 24 years back. He has become a twin Blight & Scourge on the Land. His devious Opium served to Christians within sections of Nigeria and to Igbo domiciled in different sections of Nigeria is wicked and dangerous.
