Nigerians on social media have labelled veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, a hypocrite for supporting APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid when she has allegedly stopped her sick husband from taking movie roles.
Mrs. Jacobs came under heavy scrutiny after she appeared at the Women in Solidarity with Tinubu rally on Monday.
APC had released a list last week, showing the list of women selected to be part of Tinubu’s campaign, and the actress’s name was on the list.
It is now a common belief amongst Nigerians that the former Lagos State Governor is not healthy enough to be Nigeria’s president, shown by his frequent hospital visits to London.
At other times, like at the APC presidential primaries, Tinubu was captured on camera seemingly unable to properly hold a microphone and the written speech he was reading from.
Cameras have also captured him staggering while walking. But his handlers have continued to maintain he is healthy.
There are fears amongst his supporters and amongst the opposition that he has parkinsonism, the same disease Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs is said to be suffering from.
That is why Joke Silva’s decision to stop her husband from taking movie roles, while at the same time, showing her support for someone who is also sick has caused widespread ire amongst Nigerians.
