Nigerians are calling for the resignation of the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele.

The call for his resignation is coming after the Naira fell further in the parallel market to trade for N670 against the U.S. dollar on Monday.
Reacting to the free fall, many called on Emefiele who has been Governor of the apex Bank since 2014 for tender his resignation.

Paschal added:
The way Naira is losing value is so scary. If care is not taken, by the end of the year, it's going to be N1000 to a dollar.
Lest we forget, when this administration came it was N180 to a dollar. Emefiele should resign, let someone more competent take over before it's too late. pic.twitter.com/daaC8YQ4DC— Chukwuemeka Paschal (@callmepaschall) July 26, 2022

A serious country will not have someone like Godwin Emefiele as their CBN governor. Buhari kept him there to be printing money for him.

How does Emefiele still have a job as CBN governor since 2014 ?
It just means him and the federal government are enablers of this failed system .
They can’t sack him, he can’t snitch on them but in all these, the poor masses are the collateral .
