On Monday, Katsina State’s new Governor, Dikko Radda, warned bandits that if they continued their criminal behaviour, they would be subject to the wrath of the law.
After Faruq Jobe and Radda were sworn in as the state’s governor and deputy governor by Justice Musa Danladi, Radda issued this warning in his inauguration speech.
He said, “Politics are over. I belong to every person in Katsina State. In the coming days and months, we shall evolve strategies to restore peace and development in the state.
“For the next four years, we shall bring peace and prosperity to the state. I will deploy strategies and involve communities in tackling banditry and criminality in the state. To the bandits, I say abandon your cause or face the full wrath of the law.”
Radda also assured President Bola Tinubu that “Katsina State is ready to partner with the Federal Government on issues that will bring peace and progress to the state, including the issue of insecurity.”
