Police in Nasarawa state have arrested one Fred Ekpe Ayokhai and his daughter, Emmanuella for brutalizing one Blessing Matthias.
According to information on social media, Blessing Matthias, a 20-year-old student of Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa, was seen in a video beating Emmanuella for trying to snatch her boyfriend.
In the video, Blessing was telling Emmanuella to delete her boyfriend’s number from her phone, something which the latter refused doing.
Things escalated when days later, Fred Ekpe Ayokhai, a lecturer of History and International Relations department at Federal University, Lafia showed up at Blessing’s house with Emmanuella and her brother, where they didn’t just beat her up, but also drove her to an unknown destination to properly assault her.
According to a video clip circulating on social media, the lecturer denuded Blessing using scissors while in the car to the place where she was assaulted.
According to the Nasarawa State Police Command, via its official Twitter page, said, “Sequel to the viral tweet of assault on a female teenager in Lafia, the Command swiftly commenced an investigation into the case.
“It is gratifying to state that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the case while the vehicle used in conveying the victim to an undisclosed location where she was assaulted has been recovered. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects still at large”.
