The Assistant Director, Media and Publicity of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, Biodun Ajiboye has said apex Bank governor, Dr. Godwin Emefiele is of the PDP.
Speaking on Arise TV, Ajiboye who is also a Media Strategist said he would have sacked Emefiele if he was president.
Redesigning of the naira has continued to draw the ire of many, especially those of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu camp.
Switch Nigeria reported on Wednesday how Kaduna State Governor said there are elements in Aso Rock who want his party to lose at the February 25th polls. He went ahead to cite the redesigning of the Naira as one of such ploys against the APC.
“CBN Governor Godwin Emiefele is a PDP appointee; he’s still loyal and still has PDP loyalists within the CBN. If Emiefele had won the presidential primaries, would he have welcomed such a policy? If I were the President, I’d have relieved him of his job,” said Biodun Ajiboye of the ruling APC.
Emefiele has been CBN governor since 2014, a year before General Muhammadu Buhari became president. He was appointed CBN governor by then PDP regime led by Goodluck Jonathan.
