Muslims across the nation are being urged to actively participate in the upcoming general election by the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN).
According to the student body, Nigerians, particularly Muslims, have a chance to make a difference in the election since they have the power to do so.
At the official start of the 79th National Islamic Vacation Course, which was held in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, MSSN National President (Amir) Uthman Abubakar made the call.
He said, “Having a very strong formidable political structure down to the grassroots, the society shall align with the most desirable candidate with credibility and integrity adding that “Muslims should speak with one voice and vote wisely in 2023.
“With a strong voice, we call upon the youth to participate in the 2023 general election actively but wisely to salvage Nigeria which is on the verge of disintegration.
MSSN has 510 tertiary institutions and 17,097 post-primary institutions making a total of 20,709 branches across the country,” he concluded.
